Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Veralix Aegis platform, website, or any associated services ('Services'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree, do not use our Services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Veralix Foundation.

Description of Services

Veralix Aegis provides digital evidence integrity analysis, forensic verification tools, and research publications through the Truth Intelligence Platform (TIP). Our Services provide lead analysis and evidence organization ONLY. Veralix makes no determination of guilt, innocence, or legal liability. All analytical outputs require human expert review before any legal or investigative action.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. If using Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

User Responsibilities

You agree to: provide accurate registration information; maintain the confidentiality of your credentials; use Services only for lawful purposes; not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent platform security measures; not use Services to process evidence obtained through illegal means; comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding digital evidence handling.

Intellectual Property

The Veralix Aegis platform, TIA methodology, documentation, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Veralix Foundation and protected by patent, copyright, and trade secret laws. Open-source components are licensed under their respective open-source licenses as documented in our repository. Published research methodologies are available under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Services are provided 'AS IS' and 'AS AVAILABLE' without warranties of any kind. Veralix does not warrant that: Services will be uninterrupted or error-free; analytical results will be admissible in any specific jurisdiction; results constitute legal advice or expert testimony. Users are responsible for engaging qualified legal counsel and forensic experts for legal proceedings.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veralix Foundation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for Services in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to Services immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, all provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association.
