Organizational Structure
Veralix operates under a dual-entity governance model. The Veralix Foundation (501(c)(3) nonprofit) owns and maintains the Truth Intelligence Architecture (TIA): research standards, patents, methodology, and open-source tools. Veralix LLC (commercial entity) delivers the Truth Intelligence Platform (TIP): production software implementing TIA standards for operational use. This separation ensures research integrity remains independent of commercial pressures.
Architecture Freeze Protocol
Core architectural decisions documented in the Veralix Technical Design Authority (VTDA) v1.0 are subject to Architecture Freeze governance. Once a core layer is locked, no ad-hoc modifications are permitted. Changes to frozen layers require: formal Change Request with technical justification; impact assessment across all dependent systems; review and approval by the Technical Steering Committee; 30-day public comment period for community input; supermajority (75%) vote of the Architecture Board.
Technical Steering Committee
The Technical Steering Committee (TSC) comprises senior engineers, forensic scientists, and legal technologists responsible for: maintaining the VTDA as the constitutional root document; reviewing and approving architectural changes; resolving technical disputes between engine teams; ensuring consistency across the 9-engine architecture; publishing quarterly technical roadmaps.
Research Ethics Board
All research activities conducted under the Veralix Foundation undergo ethics review. The Research Ethics Board evaluates: potential for misuse of published methodologies; impact on vulnerable populations; compliance with institutional review standards; data handling practices in research publications; conflict of interest disclosures.
Community Governance
Open-source contributions to Veralix tools follow a transparent governance process: Request for Comment (RFC) process for significant changes; maintainer rotation to prevent single points of control; contributor license agreements that preserve open-source licensing; public decision logs for all governance actions; annual community governance review with published outcomes.
Financial Transparency
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Veralix Foundation publishes: annual financial statements audited by independent CPA firm; grant funding sources and amounts; expenditure breakdown by program area; executive compensation disclosure; conflict of interest declarations for all board members and officers.
